TT rising sidecar star Alan Founds has received the prestigious Mike Hailwood Foundation Scholarship Award for the Best up and coming Newcomer at the TT.
This is the first time it has ever been awarded to a Sidecar team since it was established in 1981 to support up and coming riders at both the Manx GP and the TT Races.
Alan along with his passenger from 2015 Tom Peters, received the Best Newcomers award in 2014 finishing 6th and 11th respectively, and in 2015 finished 5th in Sidecar Race A, lapping at over 111mph.
For TT 2016 Alan, who is the current British F2 Champion and is passengered by the flying Fin - Aki Aalto and starts at No 7.
The other Team Founds sidecar is piloted by older brother Pete Founds, passengered by Jevan Walmsley.
Pete finished 25th in his TT debut in 2015 as a driver having passengered for over 20 years. Pete and Jev enter TT 2016 currently leading the 2016 British F2 Championship.
